The 100 game was created by the Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson — who you may know for writing Alice In Wonderland under the pen name Lewis Carroll.

Carroll’s Oxford students were amazed. On February 5, 1856 he wrote in his diary: “… the trick of counting alternately up to 100, neither putting on more than 10 to the last number named, astonished them not a little.”

  1. It's easier than this pin if you can
    First tell
    1 next make
    12 next make
    23 next make
34 ( just eleven more than last number)
    45 next make it
    56 next make
    67next
    78 next
    89 next
    100 😏😏😏😏

  2. 1:17 Ah wait your countering there number to go to 11 like 8 + 3 = 11. 2+9=11. 4+7=11. Was I right?

  3. The match game is pretty dangerous if you are playing with an arsonist 😂

  4. The whole video: if you start first you win

  5. I feel like it’s just based off of who goes first cause what if you make it so every time the person goes he’s on a 9. For example like 9 or 19 and so on, eventually he’ll be at 89 and he won’t be able to get to 100 w a 10 only 99

  6. Unless the other guy starts, and they pick 1 as first number and they happen to pick all the next numbers so that the sum of them and each of your numbers is 11

  8. Why does YouTube keep automatically translating (very poorly, I must say) the title of videos? I never asked it to, I do not need it and it does not help!
    Anyways, great video as always

  9. Came here after not been able to solve similar kind of optimal strategy game problem (game of nim) in a competitive programming contest.

  10. We played that match game in school once and I early on realized that there was a pattern to leave the other person with 5 matches. And then I managed to win every round.

  11. “i guess ill just play with myself”
    kinda sus vsauce ngl

  12. This is the game people should've used in mrbeasts squid game

  13. 1:39

    What if he said
"I win every time because I'm literally playing against me…."

  14. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior ✝️❤️

  15. and NO ONE noticed the glass skull in the background

  16. can i just say 100 at the start

  18. Never in my 30+ years or life have I had a need to play a game like this.

  19. I would like to know what would happen if two people use the same method?

  20. So what happens if two people watch this video and play against each other?

  21. Im watching this video while he is as 4.44 million subs

  22. 6:42 get it Match up because the they are playing a game with ma- nvm ima just go

  23. You can do this with tic tax toe, if you always go first.

First, you go in the middle.

Then, if they go into a corner space, you pick one which is one corner space away.
For example, if they go top left, you can go bottom left or top right, and if they pick top right, you can go top left or bottom right.

Then, they are forced to block you, since otherwise you can just win with the diagonal. Once they do this, you can just go 4 spaces clockwise from their original move, and you have 2 possible winning spaces, which they can only block one of.

However, if they first go into a side middle space, you can go 2 spaces clockwise or counterclockwise and force the enemy to block your sideways winning condition. Then, you just go one below your previous move, and have 2 winning conditions.

  24. Pov: your freind went first and knows about it

  25. Let's play till 99. Same rules. You start.

  26. you're copying micheal in the itro
    naughty naughty

  27. I can beat u in this game
Even in you start first by 1
My turn will be 2nd still I will win

  28. This could be the game you cannot win because one could win always while the other never wins

  29. tl;dr
digit game always make your numbers' digits have the 2 digits(ill say n for tens digit and x for ones) use this formula

    x=n+1
    so examples are : 23 34 45 56 etc

matches game: leave your opponent with (multiple of 4) + 1

  30. 2 people use this strategy whoever says the first number wins
